The Coronation Crown is received with great pleasure

Posted on June 15th, 2012, written by

Her Majesty the Queen visited Burghley House in Lincolnshire as part of her Diamond Jubilee Celebrations.

During her visit she was presented with the replica Coronation Crown which has been carved by Paul Ellis, one of our team of masons. This crown will now be put in place on the south west turret of the cathedral and will provide a reminder of this landmark occasion for centuries to come.

As a memento of the occasion, the Queen was presented with a book of photographs and a loyal address from the people of Lincolnshire, the Friends of Lincoln Cathedral and the Dean and Chapter.
