Lincoln Cathedral is seeking to appoint a Finance Manager to lead the Cathedral’s accounting team.
The key requirement of the post is to bring together into a team the staff who currently carry out the Cathedral’s accounting functions and by doing this:
- to ensure that the Cathedral complies with the reporting requirements of the Cathedrals Measure and other legislation in relation to its trading subsidiaries and related entities;
- to provide accurate and timely management information to the Finance Committee and to the management team, in particular to support the Works Manager in the costing of work; and
- to ensure compliance with the requirements of HMRC in relation to employees, VAT and Gift Aid.
The successful candidate with be a Chartered or Chartered Certified Accountant or hold an equivalent qualification. They will have experience of accounting for charities and commercial operations. They will have a thorough working knowledge of Sage accounting and Sage payroll. They will have a demonstrable ability of managing people with sensitivity and resolve. They will be team player.
The post is for three/four days a week at a remuneration of £24,000/£32,000. Membership of a pension scheme is available.
