Discover Lincolnshire Weekend
After wonderful feedback from visitors and staff, Lincoln Cathedral is proud to announce that, once again, we will be part of the Discover Lincolnshire Weekend on the 10th March.
This will give visitors the opportunity to come and enjoy the Cathedral in all its splendour for free.
Guides and stewards will be available throughout the day for visitors to talk to and we will be running Roof and Tower tours at regular intervals. Numbers will be limited on each tour and restrictions may apply. Tours will cost £3.00 per person for each tour and can be booked at the entry desk on the day. Unfortunately we will be unable to take advance bookings and should you arrive late for a tour we will be unable to hold your place or refund.
The wonderful Wren Library, designed by Sir Christopher Wren, will be open for visitors to enjoy. Lincoln Cathedral library is reputedly one of the finest rare book libraries in the East Midlands and among the top five cathedral library collections in England. As well as a reference collection of c.10,000 items, we also hold 260 medieval manuscripts, including works of theology, canon law, devotional books, music and literature.
On Sunday visitors are welcome to enter the Cathedral although there will be restricted access during services. Everyone is welcome at our services. Unfortunately we will not be running tours and the Library will not be open on this day.
