Open lecture by Trevor Dennis

Jesus and Genesis, Tales of two Brothers.
The Lincoln Theological Society is pleased to welcome Trevor Dennis
Jesus’ parable of the two brothers, usually called  The Prodigal Son, is full of references to the Genesis stories of Jacob and Esau and Joseph and His brothers.  Jesus’ handling of these tales and especially his parable’s extraordinary punch line raise very radical questions about any notions of The people of God.
The lecture will take place in The Robert Hardy Lecture Theatre at Bishop Grosseteste University College, Newport, Lincoln at 7.00 for 7.30
Tickets costing  £5.00 and include a glass of wine will be available from the beginning of February from Lincoln Cathedral shop (see below), Unicorn Books in Lincoln Central Market, after the 9.30 service in Lincoln Cathedral and on the door.
