Works Department Open Day and Turret Tours
Posted on August 1st, 2012, written by MollieHaywoodON SATURDAY 4TH AUGUST THE CATHEDRAL WORKS DEPARTMENT WORKSHOPS ON EASTGATE WILL BE OPENING TO MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC.
Meet the dedicated team who help to look after and conserve Lincoln Cathedral; learn more about the different heritage skills, including: lead work, stained glass, stone masonry, joinery and conservation. Tickets are available on the day (cash only), although to avoid disappointment we recommend advance booking for the Turret Tours.

TURRET TOURS – £25.00 PER PERSON
From high up on the South West Turret you can expect an amazing panoramic view across the city. Running from 10am – 4pm there are a limited number of Turret Tours available throughout the day. You will see the restoration work in progress and a new dragon carving. The highlight of the tour will be to see the Coronation Crown in situ, along with meeting the masons and other member of the team.
