Chapter House & Nave
The Chapter House and Nave offer a fabulous setting for all manner of events
Concerts and Special Services
As the Seat of the Bishop and Mother church of the Diocese, the Cathedral is delighted to host diocesan services and events.
We welcome organisations wishing to stage concerts. The visit of the Halle each year has special place in the Lincoln calendar. The nave is used to a repertoire of military band music, with the close connections the Cathedral has with the RAF. The Lincoln Choral Society, the Lincolnshire Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Lincoln Chorale are frequent visitors.
Special services are part of what we do best: celebrations, for example of the National Society, but also annual commemorations such as the Battle of Britain service, or the County Harvest Festival and annual carol services for many organisations.
Our relationship with schools is strong and we host regular services for Lincoln Minster School as well as the annual Church Schools Festival.
We host graduation ceremonies for The University of Lincoln, Bishop Grosseteste University College and Lincoln College.
The Chapter House is a popular venue for exhibitions and celebrations.
Entertaining
Entertaining in both the Chapter House and Nave can be very special: the High Sheriff’s Harvest Supper in the Chapter House, the Fabric Fund dinner in the Nave. We welcome appropriate similar events. Events are tailored as far as possible to meet your needs. We work with a number of external caterers and would be happy to arrange a meeting to plan your event.
If you would like to hold an event, please e-mail events@lincolncathedral.com or phone 01522 561632.
