Tours

Visiting Lincoln Cathedral is a great experience, but one made immeasurably better with the help of a guide.

The entry ticket entitles you to any or all of the tours on offer on the day of your visit. See the diary on the home page for details.

This may be tour of the floor where our guide will walk you round pointing out places of particular interest and placing what you see into a narrative which makes sense of it.

If you have head for heights, go for a roof tour and marvel at the sight from Banks’s View, admire the view St Hugh sees every day. Admire the skill of the carpenters who built and maintain the roof with its glorious oaks.

On Saturdays we offer tours of the tower for those with the energy to climb over three hundred steps.

We welcome groups. Please phone 01522 561600 or e-mail visitors@lincolncathedral.com. Download a booking form. It is helpful to know you are coming so that the Refectory can cater for your needs.

Businesses

If you are a business looking to give your clients and customers a special experience, we offer special tours of the library, works department and those parts of the Cathedral which other tours can’t reach! We are of course happy to offer these tours to non-business groups. We do ask you to pay specifically for these special tours.
