Tours

Visiting Lincoln Cathedral is a great experience but one that can be made immeasurably better with the help of a guide, who can give you an insight into the wonderful and colourful history not only of the building but also of its people.

All of our tours are included in the entry prices. This included the floor and roof tours, and the tower tours which are available on Saturdays from April and throughout October.

Cathedral tours run from Monday through to Saturday. Please note that we do not run any tours on a Sunday. See below for times of tours and restrictions:

Floor Tour

1^st November to the end of February : Daily tours at 11.00am and 2.00pm

1^st March to 31^st October : Daily tours at 11.00am, 1.00pm and 3.00pm

Roof Tours

1^st November to the end of February : Daily tours at 1.30pm with an extra tour on Saturday at 11.00am

1^st March to 31^st October : Daily tours at 11.00am and 2.00pm

Tower Tours – Saturdays Only

April : 1.30pm and 3.00pm

May to September : 12.15am, 1.30pm and 3.00pm

October : 1.30pm and 3.00pm

Visitor Safety Notes

For anyone who goes on a Roof or Tower Tour, we always ask every visitor to read our Visitor Safety Notes for each separate tour. If you are interested in going on either of these tours we would strongly recommend that you read through in advance to avoid any disappointment. This information goes through such things as age restrictions, health restrictions and physical abilities that you would need to have to complete a tour. Please follow the links below:

Groups

We welcome groups. Please phone 01522 561600 or e-mail visitors@lincolncathedral.com. It is helpful to know you are coming so that the Refectory can cater for your needs.

Businesses

If you are a business looking to give your clients and customers a special experience, we offer special tours of the library, works department and those parts of the Cathedral which other tours can’t reach!
