We are delighted to welcome back The Regimental Band of The Coldstream Guards to Lincoln Cathedral for their Autumn Concert.

The theme is to remember the Centenary of the Battle of Passchendaele in 1917. The Director of Music Major Simon Haw MBE has written a special piece of music to mark this important date. The Band will be playing this at the Concert.

This event will raise funds for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity and all proceeds will go directly to the charity.

On Friday 20th October at 7.30 pm in Lincoln Cathedral the Band of the Coldstream Guards will give a concert in aid of the Army Benevolent Fund, the charity that supports soldiers and their families in need.

Their pageantry and splendour will be brought here to the Cathedral and as this year sees the centenary of the Battle of Passchendaele, the Director of Music has composed a piece specially to remember this battle and a member of the band has composed a most moving poem which he will read as the music is played. As well as this, the band has an ensemble who wear eighteenth century uniform and play 18th century instruments so a free and colourful history lesson is included. Come along and be part of a magnificent occasion in our magnificent cathedral.

Tickets are priced at £20 and £15, available from the Cathedral Shop. For information regarding disabled access, please contact the shop on 01522 561 644.
