As part of Lincolnshire Jazz Week 2020, we welcome the Andrew Wood Quartet as they join Lincoln Cathedral Choir in providing the music for the Sunday Eucharist Service. Lincolnshire Jazz Week first collaborated with the Cathedral and introduced a jazz musical element into this Morning Service in 2016 and it has been very well received ever since.
Andrew ‘Woody’ Wood, is a professional musician based in Nottingham, UK. Working across a range of genres, Andrew has established himself as one of the most in-demand drummers in the East Midlands both on stage and in the studio. Born in 1991, and having played the drum kit from the age of 13, Andrew is now an experienced performer having had the pleasure of working with jazz groups of every size, orchestras, musical theatre pit bands, wind bands, brass bands and soul bands. The Quartet features:
Matthew Radcliffe: Piano
Dominic Holmes: Double Bass
Andrew Wood: Drum kit
As with all services in the Cathedral, all are welcome to attend.
The service is kindly supported by NewJazz5
Please note this service replaces the regular 9.30am Sung Eucharist
