Since Medieval times, Gregorian Chant and Polyphonic music has resonated within the walls of this spectacular cathedral. The July it plays host to a weekend festival of Jazz and Gospel music featuring leading musicians from the UK and overseas. The weekend opens with the London Community Gospel Choir and closes with the Darius Brubeck Quartet, with a host of musical treats in between.

Brought to the city by Lincoln Jazz in partnership with Lincoln Cathedral and with support from local businesses and East Midlands Jazz, all the events take place in and around the Cathedral making full use if the new Visitor Centre facilities set in the popular Cathedral Quarter including the Castle, the famous Steep Hill, Bailgate shopping together with many cafes, restaurants, hotels and pubs.
