With a Live Orchestra

Following the success of last year, The Snowman is returning to Lincoln Cathedral for five fabulous performances.

This festive Christmas classic will be shown on the big screen in the Nave, dimly lit to create a magical atmosphere. This heart-warming story will be accompanied by a live orchestra and soloists from Lincoln Cathedral Choir who will make the most of the incredible acoustics of the Cathedral to ensure an unforgettable experience for adults and children alike.

Originally published in 1978, The Snowman was created and illustrated by Raymond Briggs. It has become one of the world’s most popular children’s books, selling in excess of 8.5 million copies worldwide and being translated into over 15 languages.

This well-loved book was adapted for screen by producer John Coates, leading to the Oscar nominated animation with iconic score. The Snowman was first aired in 1982 and has been broadcast on a global scale including Asia, Europe and North America.

Tickets will start at £6 and will be available for five showings at the following times:
