Private Prayer

The Cathedral remains open for private prayer and reflection between 10am and 3pm (10.30am on Sundays)

During these hours, Duty Chaplains will be available to respond to the pastoral needs of anyone visiting the Cathedral, whether they arrive seeking specific counsel or find that their visit prompts unexpected questions and feelings. The Duty Chaplains are happy to pray with anyone who asks for this.

While services may now take place inside the Cathedral, we understand that there may be some who are unable or wish not to visit the Cathedral at this time.

Our priority remains to remember the vulnerable and the isolated at this time and we continue to seek new ways of offering ministry and demonstrating the love of God.

We have provided some home worship resources on this website and will continue to keep in touch by social media and our regular Chapter Letter.

We invite you to share the following prayer with us.

For all the blessings of today
For the love of family and friends
For every kindness shown to me by others
For the gift of courage
For the strength to face adversity
For the knowledge that you are always with me
I lift up my heart in love and gratitude to you
O Lord. Amen.

Please be assured of our prayers.
Every blessing
Dean Christine.
