From time to time it is necessary for us to restrict access to certain areas of the Cathedral; this can be due to a number of reasons including services, event or maintenance.

Details of any current restrictions can be found below.

Wednesday 6 October

Lincoln College Graduations
From 1pm, the Nave will be closed and access to the Cathedral will be via the Judgement Porch on the South side of the building. Visitors will still be able to visit other areas of the Cathedral including St Hugh’s choir, the retro choir, the cloister, Chapter House, and visitor centre. Admission will be via donation.

Friday 8 October

BGU Matriculation
From 2pm, the Nave will be closed and access to the Cathedral will be via the Judgement Porch on the South side of the building. Visitors will still be able to visit other areas of the Cathedral including St Hugh’s choir, the retro choir, the cloister, Chapter House, and visitor centre. Admission will be via donation.

Saturday 9 October

Diocesan Annual Readers Service
During the morning, the nave will be closed to visitors, but open to all who wish to attend the service. Access for visitors to the Cathedral will be via the Judgement Porch on the South side of the building. Visitors will still be able to visit other areas of the Cathedral including St Hugh’s choir, the retro choir, the cloister, Chapter House, and visitor centre. Admission will be via donation. The nave will reopen at 1pm

Ongoing – Wren Library

Due to essential maintenance work the Wren Library is closed until further notice. You can still visit the Medieval Library.
