LCCOCA is the body which represents and brings together Choir Parents, adult members of the Choir, and former choristers at the Cathedral.  Its role is to support the Choir by raising awareness of the choir, and raising funds for activities for current and former choristers beyond those provided for by the Dean and Chapter.  So we contribute to the funds needed for Choir tours; we provide social events for choristers old and new, and we work hard throughout the year raising money to ensure that all our members, including parents, have the opportunity to enjoy their connection with Lincoln Cathedral.  We also maintain a regular dialogue with the Cathedral on behalf of parents on any issues affecting choristers generally.

LCCOCA was formed during 2017 by the amalgamation of the Choir Association and the Old Chorister Association.  It is run by a small committee, and all members are invited to its AGM.  We hope to produce a regular newsletter to keep members up to date with the news of the choir.

In its first year LCCOCA:

  • Raised nearly £2000 for choir funds, including a contribution to the 2017 choir tour to Utrecht
  • Held social events for the choir including a fish and chip supper, fireworks party, NERF party, trip to the theatre, film night, choir barbeque
  • Instituted regular Cathedral/parent meetings

We hope that you will support us, and if you can offer to help at any choir events, whether social or fundraising, or would like to fill one of the vacancies on our Committee, we would be delighted to hear from you.
