Lincoln Cathedral is recruiting a new Events and venue hire officer.

Lincoln Cathedral hosts a wide range of events throughout the year, from concerts and dinners to exhibitions and major art installations. The Cathedral also acts as a venue for a number of external events such as the graduation ceremonies for the University of Lincoln and Bishop Grosseteste University.

Events are a major contributor to the cathedral’s income generation strategy, and as such, we are investing in the team to deliver great events activities for local residents and visitors.

Working within the visitor experience and enterprise department, the events and venue hire officer will work as part of a dynamic team who offer the very best experience to more than 100,000 visitors per year.

If you are an events professional, with demonstrable experience in a similar role, who thrives on delivering excellent customer service then we would like to hear from you.

You’ll need to be adaptable, a good problem solver and enjoy working at pace, and on multiple projects at once. In return, you’ll be delivering great events in an incredible place – making memories for thousands of people and helping to put Lincoln on the map as a great place to visit.

Residential Choral Scholar – Bass

Residential choral scholarships are available to post A-level students wishing to take a gap year between school and university, students of the University of Lincoln or Bishop Grosseteste University during their studies or to recent graduates wishing to broaden their singing experience with a view to future singing work. Scholars are appointed for a year, renewable for a second year by mutual agreement.  Choral Scholars take a full part in the singing duties of the cathedral choir and also support the Music Department by acting as chaperones for the choristers between rehearsals in the Song School and their own schools.
