There is something about heritage that moves us, connecting us all to those that have come before. Lincoln Cathedral is an example of living history – be that through the patter of Christian worship that has echoed through the building for almost one thousand years, to the heritage crafts that conserve and maintain it, to the beauty of heavenly music that enhances the liturgy.

Lincoln Cathedral is a charity, and as such, every donation we receive helps feed directly into sustaining the work, conservation and music of Lincoln Cathedral. This page helps you to understand and connect with the range of donation options, fundraising products and major campaigns that we are running. Please explore below, and if there is anything we can help with, please do get in touch.

Legacy Giving

Leaving a gift in your Will to Lincoln Cathedral is a wonderful way to show your support today, with the donation made from your estate after you die.

We have many people who choose to support the Cathedral in this way, after remembering family and friends. For many people, giving is difficult during their lifetime as there are many calls on available funds, so legacy giving enables people to support charities that are important to them without having to make a financial commitment while they are alive.

For anyone who leaves a gift to the Cathedral and lets us know by providing an extract of their Will, we’ll offer a complimentary legacy Patron Membership as a thank you, and as a way to keep you engaged with the Cathedral.
