From the intimate to the gloriously breathtaking, Lincoln Cathedral offers wonderful, unique and inspirational spaces in which to host events and experiences.
Lincoln Cathedral can accommodate many occasions from family gatherings, lectures and conferences to musical recitals, concerts and dinners. There is a range of options from modern meeting rooms to dramatic, spectacular spaces and our team are here to help you get the most from your event.
There are three modern meetings rooms to choose from, accommodating up to 40 people.
Based in the visitor centre, our meeting rooms are bright, well-equipped, and easily accessible with views over the Cathedral and Dean’s Green.
Two meeting rooms benefit from air conditioning and built-in kitchenettes while all have the following facilities:
- Induction loop
All meeting rooms are located on the first floor and are accessible via lift. Toilet facilities are available on the first floor including an accessible toilet.
We’ve been working with Lesley and the team at the cathedral now for over a year to run various events with our team.

There are three main spaces available for hire within the cathedral:
The Nave, with its spectacular architecture is the largest and most prestigious space and can accommodate up to 1200 for concerts and 800 for a formal dinner. The transepts offer additional flexibility and can be used independently or as part of a larger event in the Nave.
The Chapter House
The iconic Chapter House can seat 100 people for a formal dinner, and up to 200 guests for receptions, meetings, smaller concerts, and recitals. The space also makes an ideal and exciting exhibition venue. An adjacent kitchen may be hired to support catered events.
The Cloisters provide a delightful outside space with undercover facilities, perfect for summer receptions and gatherings, offering guests amazing views of the north side of the Cathedral.
The Cloisters may be hired alongside the Chapter House or individually.
Perfect for outdoor theatre or summer parties, the Dean’s Green is a fabulous space for entertaining your guests with arguably the best view of the cathedral.

We have a range of catering options to suit your needs, catered from our café. Whether you’d like breakfast pastries, a working lunch or afternoon tea, we can accommodate your catering requirements, serving direct to your meeting room or downstairs in our bustling café.

If you are considering hosting a catered event, the cathedral works with a number of local suppliers and can assist you by putting you in touch. The Cathedral, Visitor Centre and Dean’s Green are fully licenced.
