‘By Faith, not through the Law’

With the announcement of the dissolution of parliament and the calling of a General Election, to be held on 4 July, one element of uncertainty within society has been removed. However, any time of decision and potential change is a time for uncertainty and particular care by and for those who hold positions of power and responsibility. In the course of any election campaign this duty of care and obligation to responsibility includes those who hold particular offices – whether as elected representatives or as members of the government (or aspire to those offices). However, it is also a time when each of us in a wider society finds that our own responsibilities crystalise – especially if we find ourselves with the privilege and duty of shaping our society as electors…
