Come along to experience a true blast from the past with a medieval take on the nativity this Christmas. Our newly translated medieval mystery plays originally date from the fifteenth century and are loosely based on bible stories but have several extra elements! Our Medieval Nativity Play 2024 includes five of the original plays: The Parliament of Heaven, Joseph’s Doubts, Mary’s visit to Elizabeth, Nativity and Shepherds.
With humour, human dilemmas and heavenly interventions, fabulous medieval music, instruments and evocative costumes, our Medieval Nativity will really help you get you into the Christmas spirit!
Our performances last for approximately 45 minutes and are suitable for all age groups. We offer them free of charge, but we will ask for donations to keep our charity going.
