As well as being the feast of Pentecost, Sunday 8 June is the final day of this year’s Volunteers’ Week. Last Monday a large group of volunteers and staff gathered in the Chapter House to celebrate the significant contribution that volunteers make to the life of the Cathedral. From those who greet visitors to those who ring the bells, guide tours, sit on committees, or offer prayerful support behind the scenes, our volunteers are a key part of the Cathedral community and vital to our mission.
