To celebrate Lincoln’s Steampunk Festival, join us at the Cathedral for a showcase of all things Steampunk with a late-night exploration, a new tour and an exciting trail.
Late-night opening

On Thursday 21 August, the Cathedral will reopen its doors from 6:30 pm to 9pm, allowing visitors to experience the atmospheric surroundings of Lincoln Cathedral on a late summer evening.

Cathedral of Curiosities Trail

Walk our trail, taking time to stop at the marked points and discover just a few of the curious stories of items and people connected with the Cathedral.

Cathedral of Curiosities Tour

Book onto our tour, where we’ll explore the impressive Victorian Gothic features of the Cathedral, including its architecture and stained-glass windows. On this tour, you will see the supernatural elements of St. Hugh’s Shrine, the fantasy and horror of grotesques, dragons and the cadaver tomb, and all the weird and wonderful aspects of this magnificent Cathedral. There will be three tours on:

  • Thursday 21 August at 7.30pm
  • Friday 22 August at 10.30am
  • Saturday 23 August at 10.30am
