Luxmuralis is Back!
After stunning audiences with ‘Life’ and ‘Science’, Luxmuralis will make it’s return to Lincoln Cathedral in 2025 with ‘Time’, a new innovative light and sound show created by the acclaimed artistic collaboration.
This immersive artwork will take you on a journey through time, traversing wormholes, venturing inside the intricate workings of clocks, and experiencing a dramatic narrative that spans from the present day to the very beginning of everything.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does Time by Luxmuralis last?
Although there is no set time, the experience takes most people around 50 minutes. That being said, you’re welcome to spend as long as you like taking it all in.
We have spread arrival time slots 15 minutes apart to ensure you have the space to enjoy the experience at your own pace.
Is Time by Luxmuralis suitable for children?
Absolutely! Children are often mesmerised by the lights. The sound can be quite loud so we do recommend ear defenders for little ones who are sensitive to noise.
Can I bring a bag?
Please keep bags to a minimum. Large bags may be subject to a bag check by one of our staff prior to entry and this will slow down your entry process to the event.
Can I bring my dog?
We ask that all dogs (with the exception of service dogs) stay at home.
Can I sit on the floor?
There are two areas of the cathedral where you are encouraged to sit and take it all in!
The East End and the Nave have the longest loops – around 15 minutes and lots of people sit on the floor to enjoy their favourite parts.
We just ask to be mindful of walkways and keep bags etc tight to you.
Will the cafe and shop be open?
Yes – our visitor centre is open until 10pm.
Which times are the best?
For families, we recommend the earlier slots. The latest slots are also brilliant as there are fewer people and there’s something special about being last!
