Following a series of very popular PhotoWalks run as part of the Discover Lincolnshire Weekend in March 2015, Lincoln Cathedral will be introducing a series of regular PhotoWalks to its programme of events in 2016, in partnership with Lincolnshire Photo Training.
The walks, run by Lincolnshire Photo Training are informal, fun & sociable photo tuition in the spectacular Lincoln Cathedral – arguably one of the finest gothic buildings in the world.
Adam Winfield, lead tutor at Lincolnshire Photo Training says;
“Lincoln Cathedral is such a stunning, photogenic building which offers endless opportunities for great photos. We were all delighted by how popular the initial walks in March were, we were fully booked within hours and visitors joined us from all over the country. Since then we’ve been very keen to develop a regular event into the Cathedral’s event diary.”
The focus of the walks is on having fun with your camera and capturing some unique images. The walks are suitable for anyone with an interest in taking photos or simply visiting the stunning Cathedral, regardless of the camera they have. Even visitors with camera phones will learn something new and take photos they never thought possible.
For Lincoln Cathedral this is a new event offering visitors the chance to discover the Cathedral through a different medium. With the Walks being led by an expert photographer, participants will be looking for and capturing the ever changing light, views and detail abundant within the one of England’s greatest buildings.
Michelle Lees, Marketing Officer at Lincoln Cathedral added;
“Lincoln Cathedral is delighted to add these walks to our programme, and offer our visitors an exciting way to discover and capture this unique and beautiful building. We are constantly looking at ways to enhance our visitor experience, and are very happy to be working in partnership with Adam to offer this educational and enjoyable PhotoWalk.”
