Choristers from Lincoln Cathedral have joined more than 260 choristers from across the Country to perform ‘Sing Forever’.

The choristers were joined by Aled Jones and Elizabeth Watts in this beautiful rendition of Sing Forever by Robert Prizeman.

The Cathedral Choirs’ Emergency Fund was launched by The Friends of Cathedral Music and the Ouseley Church Music Truly to support choirs silenced during the Covid-19 lockdown.

Inspired by fundraising for the Cathedral Choirs’ Emergency Fund, the team of musicians at Norwich Cathedral decided to organise a lockdown recording to help highlight the current uncertainty faced by many cathedrals and choral foundations.

Friends of Cathedral Music (part of the Cathedral Music Trust) and their partners seek to raise £1M to help choirs during this uncertain time.

Both FCM and OCMT and the Choir Schools’ Association have committed to making initial contributions of £250,000 each towards the target. They will work together and with other charities to raise funds to provide financial assistance as the response to this crisis unfolds. The aim is to ensure that choirs can remain together and return to their normal high standards of performance once the buildings are opened again.
