Lincoln Cathedral to Host Unique Photo Tours for Second Year
In partnership with Lincolnshire Photo Training, Lincoln Cathedral will see the return of a series of PhotoWalks & photographer’s tours in 2018. The Walks and Tours specifically designed to allow photographers to explore the beauty & detail of the interior of one of the country’s finest Cathedrals with an expert guide & tutor are thought to be unique.
A series of monthly PhotoWalks exploring the whole building at ground level will be joined by a photographer’s only roof tour providing unique access to a fascinating world high above the Cathedral floor.
The PhotoWalks have been organised and will be led by Adam Winfield, owner & lead tutor at Lincolnshire Photo Training. Last year visitors joined the tours from across the country, initially taking Adam by surprise. “When we meet for the tour at the entrance to the Cathedral I always ask people whether they’ve visited before & where they’re from. I was staggered to find visitors from Liverpool, Essex and northern England amongst others, visiting Lincoln primarily to come on our tour” said Adam. “We organise a range of tours, walks & courses in photogenic locations across the area and as a qualified teacher & photographer I help participants explore through their camera lens and learn to take better photos. It’s great to be bringing more visitors to Lincoln to discover what our fantatstic City has to offer”.

Photography is a very sociable activity and a PhotoWalk is a great opportunity for enthusiasts to meet up, chat about their photography, discover something new to photograph and practice new things. The event is open to everyone, whether they just have a camera phone, a point and shoot compact or whether they’re a serious enthusiast with a fancy SLR camera.
