Prayer wall and virtual candles

People the world over take comfort in the lighting of a candle as they offer a prayer or reflection. Many people visit the sacred space of Lincoln Cathedral each day and take a moment to reflect in peace, to pray and perhaps light a candle.

If you cannot make it to the Cathedral in person, or would prefer to offer your prayer from the comfort of your home, we invite you to offer your prayers using this online prayer wall. You can also choose to light a virtual candle.

Worship and prayer take place daily in the Cathedral and reflects the needs and context of the World. Your prayers will contribute to our daily work of holding the World, the Church, our community and those who are in specific need before God.

We know that praying helps many people process their feelings and find peace in many aspects of their life, however, you may experience events which have a deeper impact and find yourself needing additional help, support and guidance. It might be something that has happened recently, or maybe you’ve seen something on TV or social media that has brought back feelings and memories from longer ago.
