Description

A misericord (sometimes named a Mercy Seat, like the Biblical object) is a small wooden shelf on the underside of a folding seat in a church, installed to provide a degree of comfort to a person who must stand during long periods of prayer.

The Green Man is taken from a medieval carving in the archway to the North choir aisle of Lincoln Cathedral.  The mould has been taken directly from the original carving to ensure every detail is captured.  This is a rare chance to see the incredible detail in the medieval carvings.

This replica is made in the UK using resin composite and has been colour stained to look as though it’s made of wood.

The plaque is approx. 11cm x 10cm, and a ring is attached to the back in order for it to be displayed.
