As we move around stillness and beauty of the cathedral building we will reflect on the four Advent themes of Patriarch, Prophets, John the Baptist and Mary the Virgin. A spiritual preparation for Christmas, this time of reflection will end with the singing of the ancient night office of Compline at the Statute of Our Lady of Lincoln at the east end of the cathedral.
This is a gentle and reflective service set the unique and serene atmosphere of the Cathedral as the day draws to a close. There is no charge to attend, and there will be simple refreshments from 6.45pm, and will begin at 7pm.
Our ‘After Hours’ programme consists of monthly opportunities for reflective worship on a Sunday evening.
