Time Team – The return of a ground-breaking TV legend

Join Carenza Lewis, star of Time Team for 13 years, and now a professor at the University of Lincoln as she revisits some iconic moments.

Time Team was adored by millions in the 1990s and noughties as a Sunday evening staple, offering an engaging trench-side view of archaeological excavations tackling questions whose buried answers were – or might be – revealed scrape by scrape by machine, mattock, trowel or microscope.

The axing of the show in 2012 was greeted with fury, and it remained firmly embedded in popular culture.

As part of the Lincoln Festival of History, this talk by Carenza Lewis, for 13 years one of the show’s stars and now a professor at the University of Lincoln, will revisit some of the iconic moments from the show before treating the audience to the inside story of Time Team’s recent return, by popular demand, in a new digital age format.

This has brought back stars from the original show, including Carenza herself.

This event will take place in the Cathedral’s Chapter House.
